Adaptive reused old surau pdrm towards community surau with friday prayer program.
New Pantai Expressway, (NPE) (Lebuhraya Baru Pantai), is a major expressway in the Klang Valley region of Malaysia. The 19.6 km (12.2 mi) expressway has provided an easier access to Kuala Lumpur from Subang jaya and Bandar Sunway to avoid the traffic jams on the Federal Highway Route 2 during rush hour. It comprises the main link and the Salak Link.The Kilometre Zero is located at Jengka Interchange in Subang Jaya, Selangor.
It was constructed between 2000 and 2004. Construction of the expressways was led by Road Builder (M) Holdings Berhad (RBH) which in 2007 was acquired by IJM Corporation Berhad. Phase 1, which is between Jengka roundabout and Bandar Sunway was completed in 2002. The next sections from Bandar Sunway to Pantai Baharu (Phase 2) and Pantai to Salak South (Phase 3: Salak Link) were completed in 2003. During construction, the concessionaire temporarily relocated 2,000 squatters in pantai dalam while building them 980 low-cost apartments close to their settlement. The expressway was officially opened on 30 April 2004.However the development create negative impact to the urban area at the same time created new issue at the pantai dalam and kg kerichi.The NPE highway slice area of pantai dalam and kg kerichi at the same time reconnect community from one village to another village.
The focused area situated at Jalan Pantai Baru (Pantai Murni) was selected to provide solutions to the problems of locals. The site was chosen because of its have multi-function building context and high density population. That makes the people in this area have interaction difficulty, gather and socialize among each others. According to the statistic, there are 80% muslim and 20% non muslim in this area. Adaptive reuse of the existing surau desa aman pdrm towards surau with Friday prayers program is a good solution to bring the community back towards religion and community activity.
Most of the areas residents are blue-collar workers living in flats that had been sold to them under the People's Housing Project when they were resettled from their squatter homes; students of the University of Malaya; and police officers and related personnel, mainly in Desa Aman 1 & 2. The population is made up of 49% Malays, 19% Chinese and 32% Indians. Some squatters are still waiting to buy homes under this project, which was announced by Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi prior to the 2008 general election. Pantai Dalam is well connected to the other parts of Klang Valley via the New Pantai Expressway and the Federal Highway.

Operation Hours for community place: 8.00 am to 5.30 pm. After 5.30 all door and entrance will be closed except for praying hall. The yellow area shows a narrow walkway also closed after 5.30 pm. Security room also provided on the 1st floor and security will take care of the area at night. Access cards also provided for pdrm residents.

Ablution is a ritual washing performed by Muslim and it is part of compulsory activities to ensure cleanliness before the Muslim perform prayer it has been recorded in the Holy Book of Quran. In general, ablution followed by washing on a particular body, based on Quran, Sunnah and the Scholars consensus, the ablution ritual which they have a few rules and manners when performing the ritual. Understanding the way of the circle how we perform the ablution create understanding spaces between wet and dry area.

Kepadatan penduduk dan kesesakan lalu lintas khususnya di Lembah Klang bukanlah halangan besar dan alasan untuk masyarakat beragama Islam menunaikan kewajipan solat Jumaat. Ini kerana banyak lokasi khususnya surau dibenarkan melakukan solat Jumaat termasuk lokasi sesak di ibu negara. Profesor Institut Pengurusan Fatwa Sedunia Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) Prof Emeritus Tan Sri Dr Abdul Shukor Husin berkata, sebenarnya asalkan cukup syarat dan rukun maka solat Jumaat boleh dilakukan di mana-mana sahaja. “Ada dua perkara. Hukum boleh, tetapi ada enakmen nak mendirikan masjid perlu kebenaran daripada pentadbiran agama. “Majlis agama berkuasa menentukan sesetengah surau boleh buat solat Jumaat. Dalam konteks ketika ini, nak lebih baik ikut peraturan, pentadbiran dan hukum. “Kadang-kadang hukum sah, pentadbiran tak boleh. Macam kahwin la...ada kadi, saksi semua. Cuma jika bukan laksanakan solat Jumaat di masjid, kurangnya tidak mendapat pahala iktikaf,” katanya. Beliau yang juga bekas Pengerusi Majlis Fatwa Kebangsaan berkata, jika memenuhi rukun solat Jumaat ibadat itu boleh dilaksanakan tanpa memerlukan masjid. Sementara itu, laman web rasmi Jabatan Agama Islam Selangor (JAIS) menunjukkan ada 242 surau di Selangor yang mendapat kelulusan untuk solat Jumaat. Jumlah itu merangkumi 72 surau di daerah Petaling, Sepang (12), Hulu Selangor (11), Klang (34), Kuala Selangor (empat), Sabak Bernam (dua), Gombak (27), Hulu Langat (72) dan 10 surau di daerah Kuala Langat.
