SENTUL is the main town area in Kuala Lumpur whereby the railway line demarcates Sentul into two parts – Sentul East and West. Sentul, which lies just 3km north of the heart of Kuala Lumpur, is fast becoming a city of contrasts, with some of the nation’s poorest citizens living side by side with the very rich. (B. Nantha Kumar,2014) Jalan Sentul and Jalan Ipoh are the two major roads servicing this area. KTM Batu Caves – Port Klang Route Sentul Komuter Station, Ampang Line Sentul Timur LRT Station, and Sentul LRT Station are situated in this area. (The Star, 2006) Sentul was previously a large squatter’s settlement occupied mainly by the Indian community. The project initiated by DBKL commenced in the mid-1980s and was completed by end of 1980s (Unit Perancangan Ekonomi Ibu Kota (UPEIK), 1995)
